9 years ago my rescue dog saved my life.

Ozzie is one-of-a-kind. A super gentle, special soul. Everybody loves Oz & Oz loves everybody.

Found as a 1-year-old stray, he was adopted by us 4 months later. I connected immediately with this wild creature. Even though he was super anxious, his exuberance for life inspired me to want to battle my own demons. I wanted to celebrate his “feral to (mostly) fearless” story.  To share him with the world. Ozzie and my wonderful fiancé Ronan helped save me from a dark place, when I was struggling with social anxiety disorder and depression, to officially start this business.

I studied photography in college, but I didn’t really fit in. I found it really difficult to stand at the top of the class and give my existential reasoning as to why I took a picture of a lake. By the time I left, I sold my camera because my confidence in my own photography had deserted me.

I ended up in an office job for a few years and I hated it! Sitting in an office with people I had nothing in common with, doing a job that was literally draining my soul and made me dread every day. The only thing that kept me going was my inspirational rescue dog and my dream of being a photographer – not only that but an even more niche dream of being a pet photographer.

When Ozzie arrived in my life, I was nowhere near becoming a professional pet photographer because I was working in a call centre and afraid that my dream just wouldn’t work out, that I wasn’t good enough. All those fears just kept me back until one day…

I had cried my way to work – I get in and then some fecker lashed out at me on the other end of the phone and I just thought to myself, what the hell am I doing here, I don’t deserve this. I walked out of the office that day and I just knew in my heart that it was time to start making my dreams come true.

One month later I was borrowing money for my first month’s rent on my studio and within that same week I had my first client and I’ve never looked back!

I love what I do and how I can make magic happen when people think it might be impossible.
